"The problem with the person having a lack of love is that they don't know what love looks like, so it's easy for them to get tricked."
评分多生词，看的较慢，有些不懂的地方就浏览带猜过去。看时，悲哀，气愤夹杂其中，尤其在新婚之夜相互倾诉之后，Clare对Tess的无情离弃。痛恨Clare因世俗成见形成的愚蠢，当然我们自己心中诸如此类的世俗之见又会少吗？ 另外书中对英国乡村景色描写很细腻。

评分哈代的描写风格是避重就轻式的侧写，但是细节完全不缺
