相比於其他課，criminal law的case不是重點，畢竟所有判例都是根據法條的，所以重要的是statutory interpretation。書總體是有條理有邏輯的，但可能也是因為crim law open-ending的特性，case後的notes更多地引發思考而沒有準確答案。教授上課也經常聽同學發言卻不給評價。讓人學起來不踏實。

讀瞭四分之一吧，畢業瞭纔明白casebook真的隻是學習材料，不是自學工具，關鍵看教授怎麼講……case之後的評論和問題纔是重點，反思、追問以及學習如何做argument。1L課程最讓人越學越迷糊，給不瞭國內上課'學知識"的安全感。
