评分林奇走向“场所”的著作，系统论的痕迹仍很明显，仍在追求优化的城市形态，当然，也是为什么他会提出城市形态的若干评判标准。不幸的是，这一工作没有结尾，林奇就去世了。这本书就留下更多的纠集。
