一本论点有些丰富（散）的对现代主义的反动读本。前半讲历史上的视觉统治（批反面），后半讲各种感官和情感的建筑（树正面）。印象较深的是关于明暗与政治的一段：明亮的城市用视觉实现操控，而有阴影之处才有私人空间和情感的存在。闭上眼睛才有sensory，erotic和intellectual。
