李 • 斯莫林（Lee Smolin）
1955年出生于美国，拥有罕布什尔学院学士学位和哈佛大学博士学位，在普林斯顿高等研究院、圣巴巴拉理论物理研究所以及芝加哥大学做博士后；曾任教于耶鲁大学、雪城大学和宾夕法尼亚州立大学。现任加拿大圆周理论物理研究所研究员、滑铁卢大学物理系客座教授、多伦多大学哲学系研究生导师。
美国知名理论物理学家，圈量子引力论创始人之一， 被誉为“现今最具原创力的理论学家之一”。
畅销书作家，著有多本科普图书，因其对“前沿物理大众科普的卓越贡献”，荣获由美国物理教师联合会颁发的克洛普•斯特格纪念奖（Klopp Steg Memorial Award）。
