[美] 庫爾特·馮內古特（Kurt Vonnegut，1922—2007）
美國後現代主義文學大師，黑色幽默文學的代錶人物，與馬剋·吐溫並稱。以喜劇形式錶現悲劇內容，在災難、荒誕、絕望麵前發齣笑聲。這種“黑色幽默”風格始終是馮內古特小說創作的重要特質。其代錶作《五號屠宰場》《時震》抓住瞭他處身時代的情緒，並激發瞭一代人的想象。
馮內古特是齣生在美國的猶太人，1940年考取康奈爾大學，主修化學。1944年珍珠港事件爆發，主張反戰的他誌願參軍，遠赴歐洲戰場。1945年遭德軍俘虜，被囚禁在德纍斯頓戰俘營。馮內古特的文學創作，不少靈感正是來自於在戰俘營的經曆。戰後馮內古特在芝加哥大學獲得人類學碩士學位，後在哈佛大學任教。他從50年代起開始發錶短篇小說，60年代起開始齣版長篇。晚年的馮內古特在曼哈頓和紐約長島的田園裏頤養天年。2007 年3月在傢中樓梯上不慎摔倒，同年4 月11 日，在曼哈頓逝世。

The ever-so-Vonnegutian Vonnegut. DON'T PANIC at the very end of the book. Just because some of us can read and write and do a little math, that doesn't mean we can conquer the universe.Bombastic, but always the very truth. Chinese Japanese and Vietnam everywhere in this book. Pity that I haven't found anything about Kilgore Trout.

评分Don't let the first part fool you, this is a great book. And the second part will explain the ramble in the first part. It's a little depressing to read as well, as human nature and war always are, so be prepared. We learned to play games, both ours and others, when we were kids. And as we grew up, the games just got bigger and bigger.
