據說請瞭n多二戰曆史學傢來一起參考完成的小說～長的要命～不愧是課堂推薦，讀著讀著有種（真的一點都不狗血啊）的感覺

There is no morality in war. The winner wrote the history, passed the judgement, shot or hung the loser. In war, the only crime is to lose, the rest is sentimental nonsense.

第一次讀完這麼長的原文小說，80%的暢通率，因為是曆史小說，對事件和瞭人物的描寫通俗易懂。適閤體驗英文原版。非常喜歡作傢的創作手法，把虛構的人物放置到真實的曆史事件中，非教科書，紀錄片似去講訴曆史，傳達作者對事件與人的評價。

不知道对二战丝毫没有兴趣，但是喜欢小说的人读过这本书会是什么感觉？ 这是我心中关于二战的圣典。和姊妹篇战争与回忆一样，是永远无法逾越的巅峰。  

可以侧面了解二战的一部书，绝不枯燥，很耐看。记得当时是去串亲戚，从表哥家里翻出来就看，一下子就被吸引住了，也许因为是描写年轻人的故事吧。遗憾的是没看到下部，呜呜  

最近一直在看大部头，看完《巨人的陨落》忍不住要继续看二战，于是找到这一套，看到下册时知道肯福莱特的二战小说《世界的凛冬》也在中国发行了，绝对也要找来拜读。 历史的欠缺让我在这个年纪对历史如饥似渴，并且每看完一部都觉得收获颇丰。对于想了解历史，又看不下去正史的...
