一方麵這個價格真是太劃算瞭，雖然是簡裝的，但三十幾塊買這麼厚一本原版書也算值瞭；另一方麵是我看完《美國眾神》以後就像也買一本裏麵主角讀過且屢次提及的、洛基（對，就是北歐神話裏那位狡詐之神）在監獄裏送給他的Histories。當然我已有兩個中文版本瞭，英文版純為找感覺順便練英語閱讀用。

希罗多德这本书曾遭到不够严谨，混入了许多不真实的奇闻怪谈的批评。但在我看来，这却恰恰是其一个优点，即事实丰富，颇具趣味。不像《伯罗奔尼撒战争史》虽然足够严肃，但读起来终归有些枯燥。读古希腊的历史，不能孤立的来看它。而作为地中海文化圈的一个部分，古希...
