金·斯坦利·羅賓遜（Kim Stantly Robinson），當代科幻小說無可爭議的大師。1952年生於美國加利福尼亞。多次獲得科幻小說界最高榮譽雨果奬和星雲奬，更曾前無古人地六次摘取軌跡奬桂冠。代錶作《火星三部麯》《海岸三部麯》等。喜歡旅行，現與傢人定居美國加州的戴維斯。2007年推齣新作《生態三部麯》，再次引發美國科幻讀書熱潮。

如果没有做好心理准备，而是寻求某种刺激，那么这书不推荐去读。毕竟很莫名其妙的情节，完全不了解的故事背景，让人读起来很费解。而真正的科幻大师，不会沉迷恋于刻画一个小装置，摆弄小玩意儿。作者罗宾逊更多的是幻想了一个未来的社会，一个人与人冲突的社会。未来是什么...

很久没有看过这么差的书，从第一章看到第二章，不知作者在写什么，情节之松散，匪夷所思。于是为了不再虐待自己的大脑，就果断地放弃了。同样是写火星故事，我觉得火星编年史就好多了，至少写出梦幻的味道。为什么同样是星云奖获奖作品，有人就会这么差，简直不是...
