评分muteness envy; wartime homosociality vs. biological reproduction; jouissance beyond the pleasure principle... 常见的returning soldier的题材，劳伦斯写得一波三折；原本战争才是例外状态，男性的回归却指涉战时如March和Banford一般的女性间关系的abnormality，March和Henry主奴辩证法般的关系在最后的爆发后反而变得扑朔迷离：“The awful mistake of happiness.”
评分不喜欢这种风格，一个男人啊是神经兮兮啰里吧嗦，明明两百个单词就能讲明白的事件，硬是写了这么长，其中无外乎就是焦虑、冷漠、心不在焉这三个形容系交替着以相同意思的不同单词循环使用，逻辑上没有任何地方能说得通，抽象描写上的想象力还真是丰富，劳伦斯，你名声在外啊！还自己发明单词的变形格式，看得我几近崩溃叫娘。
