One of the greatest philosophers of the nineteenth century, Schopenhauer (1788-1860) believed that human action is determined not by reason but by 'will' - the blind and irrational desire for physical existence. This innovative - and pessimistic - view has proved powerfully influential upon philosophy and art, directly affecting the work of Nietzsche, Wittgenstein and Wagner among others.

3.7/5.0 软四这人真的是浮夸的要命不仅对‘凡人’轻蔑而且对女性描述的言辞也是发指估计很多论题是他提出来所以有些地位但对其论述的并不总能令人信服而且过分bleak其实有点反感 philosophy can be humane and should bear the capacity to move people.
