石黑一雄，日裔英國小說傢，1954年生於日本長崎，與奈保爾、拉什迪並稱為“英國文壇移民三雄”。石黑一雄的作品並不多，但幾乎每部作品都獲得重要的文學奬項：《遠山淡影》獲溫尼弗雷德·霍爾比紀念奬，《浮世畫傢》獲惠特布萊德年度最佳小說奬，《長日將盡》獲布剋奬，《無可慰藉》獲切爾特納姆文學藝術奬，《浮世畫傢》《我輩孤雛》和《莫失莫忘》均入圍布剋奬決選名單；1995年英女王授予石黑一雄文學領域的大英帝國勛章，1998年獲法國文學藝術騎士勛章，2017年因“以其巨大的情感力量，發掘瞭隱藏在我們與世界的虛幻聯係之下的深淵”而獲諾貝爾文學奬。

I lost Ruth, then I lost Tommy, but I won't lost my memories of them. 沒有大起大落和大悲大喜的情節，後半段的揭秘也是一場空。即便是這樣，還是喜歡石黑的文風，淡淡的憂傷和黑白迴憶碎片，細節總是打動人。

评分前陣子又看瞭一遍電影，那種絕望重新彌漫上來，又翻開書看瞭一遍。電影下麵好多抗議說他們長大後為什麼不逃，這是正常世界長大的人的視角和發問，卻不是Hailsham長大的孩子要處理的問題。Hailsham的存在就是要處理潛移默化和接受命運的問題（對我來說又是烏托邦的吊詭形式）。它的視角選取非常聰明，始終限定在Kathy的視綫裏，跟著孩子的視角一起，在平淡的語氣裏開始瞭這段旅程，待到慢慢反應過來，一下子心驚。My name is Kathy H.
