具體描述
《智庫:國外高校國際研究院比較研究》所選擇的研究對象即“高校智庫”，除瞭目前國際一流學府或者最具代錶性的機構之外，尤其考慮到所有被研究的機構是作者們相當熟悉的閤作夥伴，或者曾經長期在彼處工作，或者派過訪問學者，或者是有著長期閤作關係。實地考察，人與人之間的接觸，再加上文獻研究（包括網絡資料）是本項研究的主要依據。
