派崔克·奈斯（Patrick Ness）
1971年生于美国维吉尼亚州贝尔沃堡陆军基地，6岁之前在夏威夷度过。之后和家人移居华盛顿州，从小最大的嗜好就是编故事。大学就读美国南加大英语文学系。在牛津大学教授创意写作三年，他的学生往往比这位老师年纪还大。他还为英国最大的报纸诸如《泰晤士报》《每日电讯报》《卫报》等专业媒体撰写书评。《恶魔呼唤》是他的第二部青少年小说创作，出版后获得广大回响，横扫欧美各大文学奖项，并被众多杂志报纸推选为最佳书籍。此外，他身上有个犀牛纹身，跑过两次马拉松，是具有专业水准的潜水员，曾被电影学院录取，但为了学习写作而放弃这个机会。

本来以为是本儿童文学（后被推荐人纠正是“青少年文学”）读起来不费脑（当然从文字的角度来说还是比较好读的），没想到最后揭示Conor的噩梦让我天灵盖一激灵，久久缓不过神。关于“死亡”与“爱”，不管是小孩还是成人都值得去读的一本书。
评分this is book is underrated here. First I thought it was just a child book for Halloween, but I was wrong. This book is so beautifully written, and it tries to help healing people who has to face the death of their beloved ones. I absolutely love it and recommend to everyone who is over 18.
