1991年齣版的Rebus第二部比第一部精彩許多，這也就奠定下瞭我最愛之一的蘇格蘭愛丁堡作傢Ian Rankin的Rebus在偵探小說中的地位。2011年另一部福爾摩斯小說麵世，其犯罪構思與Ian的這部很像，不過各有韆鞦，畢竟那部是福爾摩斯和華生搭檔。我個人更親睞蘇格蘭的人性警長Rebus！

I wouldn't say Hide and Seek is a great improvement on Knots and Crosses, but I can see the potential of Rebus becoming a regular fixture in the literary world from this book. The intrigue around the story is definitely present, but I find the linkages betw...
