1991年出版的Rebus第二部比第一部精彩许多，这也就奠定下了我最爱之一的苏格兰爱丁堡作家Ian Rankin的Rebus在侦探小说中的地位。2011年另一部福尔摩斯小说面世，其犯罪构思与Ian的这部很像，不过各有千秋，毕竟那部是福尔摩斯和华生搭档。我个人更亲睐苏格兰的人性警长Rebus！
