最後兩個男人站在Sasha門前等她齣現，我居然跳戲到《豐饒之海》大結局，年老的本多在寺廟庭院與聰子重會，而聰子否定瞭一切，就像兩個男人看到的是一個不相乾的陌生女孩齣現在那扇門前摸齣鑰匙。都是關於時間的故事。伊根的這本書還是太花哨瞭，炫技的有些過火。倒是故事的芯子和底裏很有些門羅的精華。

最後一章的未來設定以及頹廢中年的熱血迴歸略顯輕佻，但也算恰如其分的迴歸開篇。Sasha,Rhea,Jocelyn等幾個故事尤其傷感，作者顯然寫女性視角更深刻。不少評論講小說反映瞭當代美國，不過種族矛盾都沒怎麼觸及哦，不礙事，已經足夠好看。
