奧威爾無疑是我最愛的散文傢，有些作傢可以讓人感受到語詞或邏輯上的美感或力量，但奧威爾總散發著來自靈魂深處的動人之處，他雄辯但是謙卑，詼諧卻從不輕浮。這本小冊子主題很多樣，從“倫敦也有春天”到達利的道德與美學評價，從殖民主義到托爾斯泰的價值觀，最感動我的是這句“Even an apple tree is liable to live for about a hundred years,so that the cox I planted in1936 may still bearing fruit well into the 21st century.”奧威爾手植的蘋果樹今春是否還繁花滿樹？
