Its Berlin, 1940, and the city is filled with fear. At the house on 55 Jablonski Strasse, its various occupants try to live under Nazi rule in their different ways: the bullying Hitler loyalists the Persickes, the retired judge Fromm and the unassuming couple Otto and Anna Quangel. Then the Quangels receive the news that their beloved son has been killed fighting in France. Shocked out of their quiet existence, they begin a silent campaign of defiance, and a deadly game of cat and mouse develops between the Quangels and the ambitious Gestapo inspector Escherich. 评分听得BBC广播剧 觉得一般，书可能更好，但是600多页，又是这种极权下的地下反抗题材，是对这种题材没兴趣了，大家东欧写了好多，好像中国抗日神剧，太多了
评分个人愚见，对纳粹德国时期弥漫在空气中的，深入每个人骨髓的恐惧的描写是本书最成功的部分，Emma Thompson貌似要出演改编电影，非常期待

评分1.Hans Fallad finished this only in 24 days,but he never saw it published; 2. It was commissioned on basis of a real case; 3. It gets better after the Quangels are arrested; 4. Inspector Escherich must be my fav character, as well as Judge Fromm.
