本书主要讲述了诺曼底登陆这一天发生的详细故事。作者从盟军、第三帝国、被占领国、等多个角度，从元首、统帅、军官、士兵、抵抗成员、平民百姓、军人家属等多个层面翔实记录了战争的经过。虽然这么多角度、层面和人物，但全书毫不杂乱，脉络清晰，阅读时让人仿佛置身战场，深...  

针对某个历史事件进行详细的描写和记录的作品，年初的时候读过《巴黎烧了吗》，这是第二本，作者同样是记者，笔触冷静，立场公正，却又饱含人道主义精神；能够把众多的信息有条不紊地分配好，一一展开，逻辑清晰，层层推进，步步展开，看得很顺；小的细节丰富而充实，大的构架...  

断断续续看完了，看完以后想到一个问题：D-Day的日期是根据气象专家的预测而决定的，只有这几天满足低潮（暴露海岸障碍物）+云层厚度刚好（月光正好方便伞兵突袭，但又不暴露空中的伞兵）的条件，那为什么德军没有根据这样的天气在这几天预先加强防御呢?遂又翻到开头第一部分去...
