科尼利厄斯·瑞恩(Cornelius Ryan,1920-1974),出生于爱尔兰,晚年加入美国国藉。1943年在《每日电讯报》服务期间出任欧洲战地记者,随军报道直至攻克柏林,然后又赴太平洋战区,曾因工作出色在美国数次获奖。1962年又获意大利班加雷拉文学奖。1973年 瑞恩被法国政府授予“荣誉军团”骑士称号。
其主要作品《最长的一天》(The Longest Day)的出版在世界各国引起轰动,并被福克斯公司拍成同名电影。他描写柏林之围与攻克的《最后一役》(The Last Battle),被译成20种文字出版,另一部《遥远的桥》(A Bridge Too Far)亦被好莱坞拍成同名电影。

评分断断续续看完了,看完以后想到一个问题:D-Day的日期是根据气象专家的预测而决定的,只有这几天满足低潮(暴露海岸障碍物)+云层厚度刚好(月光正好方便伞兵突袭,但又不暴露空中的伞兵)的条件,那为什么德军没有根据这样的天气在这几天预先加强防御呢?遂又翻到开头第一部分去...
