刚读完真的很激动,但冷静下来仔细想了一下,这本书写的就像是东拼西凑,所以每个人都能找到想要的东西。从一开始的unreliable narrator以及Frankenstein式的开头,中途w的故事,educated那边的政治和女权,到最后的victorian式爱情故事。但不得不说最戳中我的是这个背景:拉纳克式的平行城市,医学院的lecture hall里科学和宗教并行,年轻人的辩论,无影灯和柳叶刀,内省与向外扩张,人类缓缓坠入青铜时代,还在学习、还在了解,还不到否认的时候

4.5星。关于自我、记忆、性别、阶级、历史、殖民、造物者与创造者的一本书。Gray混杂了许多文学典故(莎士比亚、狄更斯、斯各特、托尔斯泰、《美女与野兽》),集合了各式材料(信件、画像、手稿等等),最终拼贴成一个对科学怪人的现代化改写。整个故事读着像一个俄罗斯套娃,不同的声音在不同部分交叠出现,最终把问题交给读者自己去决定:究竟谁才是可靠的叙事者?讽刺,有趣,又丰富,很特别的阅读体验。
