伊佩霞（Patricia Buckley Ebrey），美国伊利诺伊大学东亚研究及历史学教授。在东亚研究领域，她著述颇丰。著有《中华文明史资料》、《中国唐代和宋代的宗教与社会》等著作，其中《屋里人：中国宋代妇女的婚姻与生活》于1995年获得约瑟夫·P. 利文森奖。

我是看过万门大学的推荐图书后才看起这本书，阅读过程中心里也是一副对剑桥二字的崇敬和极端膜拜的心态，虽然第一次接触的剑桥出版物是那本冒充的《剑桥倚天屠龙史》。这部名义上的学术研究作品实际上仍然是一部普通人皆可读的通史类作品，尤其适合长期接受中国历史教...
评分一个外国人，能把中国历史写成这样，这要经过怎样的艰辛啊。真的不容易。她的立场、背景与国人不同，但即使是斯塔福利阿诺斯也难免受西方中心论影响，这没甚的，可贵的是我们可以试着从另一个角度了解我们的历史思考我们的故事。虽有许多谬误但难免更多光辉。

评分通俗易懂，不懂的词跳过也不影响阅读。装订精美，配图合理，价钱便宜。不错。
评分虽然是剑桥简明中华史，听着高贵，其实内容不过是那么基础的。唯一有趣的估计就是每章结尾的时候作者本人对中西文明差异的看法，但太短也只是简单的论点，读得不够爽。要读中华史还是别这样读了。
评分Despite some minor errors, it is a great textbook for undergrads, very well organized and articulated, way better than her book on Chinese civilization. Easy reading with lots of fun.
