著者简介

伊佩霞（Patricia Buckley Ebrey），美国伊利诺伊大学东亚研究及历史学教授。在东亚研究领域，她著述颇丰。著有《中华文明史资料》、《中国唐代和宋代的宗教与社会》等著作，其中《屋里人：中国宋代妇女的婚姻与生活》于1995年获得约瑟夫·P. 利文森奖。

如果官方诚心想提供教育，很多西方教材好好翻译过来，要比通行的乱七八糟、幼稚的中小学教材好多了，还省纳税人的钱。（当然我承认这里有政治和政府面子的问题）。若干部委的公务员不约而同跟我说过，一去教育部办事感觉时光倒退了十几二十年。

虽然是剑桥简明中华史，听着高贵，其实内容不过是那么基础的。唯一有趣的估计就是每章结尾的时候作者本人对中西文明差异的看法，但太短也只是简单的论点，读得不够爽。要读中华史还是别这样读了。

通俗易懂，不懂的词跳过也不影响阅读。装订精美，配图合理，价钱便宜。不错。

一个外国人，能把中国历史写成这样，这要经过怎样的艰辛啊。真的不容易。她的立场、背景与国人不同，但即使是斯塔福利阿诺斯也难免受西方中心论影响，这没甚的，可贵的是我们可以试着从另一个角度了解我们的历史思考我们的故事。虽有许多谬误但难免更多光辉。

觉得自己历史修为很高的人就不用看了,这书是给老外来普及中国历史的.中国人要通过它来了解历史,多少有点滑稽,但是这个错又不在我们,是不? 我历史正儿八经学就是中学的历史课,现在想起来那些东西全是胡扯加欺骗.现在看看这样的书,虽然比较浅显,内容匆匆掠过,但是觉得作者看问题...
