正如前言所述，这本小说故事完整，各用了四个章节叙述了两起死亡，直至最后，那座冰山的一角才正式浮出水面，多少有些让人吃惊。但回过头想想，当阿博特小姐袒露自己对吉诺的爱慕时，她的原因几乎近似于开头的莉莉娅，带着暮色的夕阳、吉诺的体格，当然还有一个原因，私...  

书不长，很吸引人，两天就看完了。英国的拘谨和刻板，意大利的美与生机，两种文化形成了鲜明的对比。 假如一开始是阿博特小姐嫁给吉诺，也许就不会有悲剧的发生了，结局会很好多，她清楚得看透吉诺的本来面目——不过是一个有着男人力气与激情的小男孩而已。可惜世界上没有如果...
