葉蔭宇老師是現在華人運籌方麵最好的學者瞭。這套書非常適閤有意願在這方麵發展的學生用來入門。很全麵地介紹瞭綫性優化、非綫性優化的問題模型和相應算法（單純型、內點法、梯度搜索法、牛頓法、罰函數法等），還包括一些整數規劃的介紹（網絡流、相應的切平麵法等）。當然，雖然內容很豐富許多地方的深度還是有所欠缺的。
