This is the third volume of a series devoted to the works of Mario Botta. This architect began constructing single-family homes in the Ticino region during the 1970s and 1980s. Since then, he has continued to develop his individual style, designing buildings, schools, banks, offices and administrative buildings, museums and churches with a distinctive aura. This volume deals with the years 1990-1997, describing Botta's later work as architect, furniture designer and stage designer. The book covers: the Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco, the cathedral in Evry, the mountain church on Monte Tamaro (Ticino), the bank at Aeschenplatz, and the Tinguely-museum in Basle. More recent projects, such as the municipal library in Dortmund and the synagogue in Tel Aviv, are also included.
