可能是年度最佳瞭。語言簡練，感情沉鬱，文風浪漫；導論、後序很對味。Love試圖建立一種酷兒政治主體marked by backwardness。她關注的問題是，高歌猛進的gay pride承諾瞭一個玫瑰色光明未來，但實際上LGBT群體的曆史始終與羞恥、喪失、孤獨等各色負麵情緒相糾纏，而這些情緒依然充斥多數成員的日常生活——倘若不能與它們妥善周鏇，那個所許諾的未來就必將虛幻且狹隘。雖然她錶示不是很關注action，後序還是提到，新的酷兒政治主體，既是在迴擊壟斷話語的主流陽光gay，也是在敦促無所作為的酷兒理論傢。

感覺海澀愛想錶達的核心意思就是要打破queer historiography中將現代和前現代進行二分的綫性時間觀，肯定continuity，召喚齣那些被否認的壞情感，由此來給那些見不得光的負麵性一個被看見的機會。如果迴到當代的運動脈絡中，最終的落腳點還是對normalization的批判？但如果說歐美同誌運動史有一個石牆事件這樣的曆史分水嶺，並且基於此發展齣瞭一套曆史斷代和嚮前看的運動論述，那麼中國/大陸則更像是在某種“前現代狀態”裏持續沉淪，並且以西方為地平綫、眼巴巴地“嚮前眺望”著某種未來的許諾。如果要用海澀愛的思路來挖掘中國的queer negativity，那也許就是騙婚、（過時的）同誌浴室、公園/公廁打野炮，更廣地說也離不開後殖民民族主義、社會主義革命、冷戰等問題
