上下册结构合理，内容丰富，作者梵文功底深厚，对印度历史整体把握娴熟，信息量大，尤其是故事量比较大，但读起来反而琐碎。各个时段的阶段性特征不突出，变化的线索，原因，承袭都不清晰，淹没在大量记述甚至是细节描述中。古代史上册孔雀王朝后各大帝国时期和混乱时期碎片化...
評分内容有点厚今薄古，结构上没有赫尔曼·库尔克的那本《印度史》平衡，近代笔墨较多，莫卧儿之前则比较单薄。 两个译者合译，翻译准确度还可以，但第一个译者的译本不够通畅，第二个译者现代部分翻译的较好。总体读起来没有赫尔曼那本译的好。 如果只选一本的话，还是推荐看赫...
