上下册结构合理，内容丰富，作者梵文功底深厚，对印度历史整体把握娴熟，信息量大，尤其是故事量比较大，但读起来反而琐碎。各个时段的阶段性特征不突出，变化的线索，原因，承袭都不清晰，淹没在大量记述甚至是细节描述中。古代史上册孔雀王朝后各大帝国时期和混乱时期碎片化...
