作者简介
Li Cunxin was born in a small village near the city of Qingdao, in northern China. At eighteen, he was selected to perform at the Houston Ballet, which led to a dramatic defection to the United States. He has performed as a soloist with the Houston Ballet and as a principal artist with the Australian Ballet.

Although the book express some facts in China at the time, I dont like the description of chinese political and living environment that the author portrays. It is absolutely ridiculous to write that, I would say lee you are such a asshole who forgets what Chinese government have produced to you, chance of learning ballet and chance of study abroad.
