Tony Gonzales，1973年生於美國新澤西州澤西市。他1995年畢業於新澤西的理查德斯托剋頓學院政治學專業，並獲得羅格斯大學工商管理碩士學位。他目前在冰島雷剋雅未剋的CCP Games公司擔任知識産權開發經理，同時還創作瞭兩篇關於EVE Online的中篇小說《無情無義》和《神正論》。本書是他第一部公開齣版的作品。
