Tony Gonzales，1973年生于美国新泽西州泽西市。他1995年毕业于新泽西的理查德斯托克顿学院政治学专业，并获得罗格斯大学工商管理硕士学位。他目前在冰岛雷克雅未克的CCP Games公司担任知识产权开发经理，同时还创作了两篇关于EVE Online的中篇小说《无情无义》和《神正论》。本书是他第一部公开出版的作品。
