我眼光和学力有限，实在不够资格评论这本科技史大著。说是读完，其实不过是用几天时间，翻完而已，饶是如此，已经是震撼惊异，我只想拜一拜这本书的作者萨顿，然后再给译者鲁旭东鞠一躬，表达我无法言说的崇拜之情。这本书虽然信息量巨大，但并不难读，萨顿的原著，译者的翻译...  

英文题目是 Ancient Science through the Golden Age of Greece 根据书籍的实际内容，其中的through应该理解为“到黄金时代结束为止”，而不是目前的翻译。  

这部著作虽然写于50多年以前，但直至今天依然绝对是经典，值得收藏。这部著作内容丰富，资料充实，时间跨度大，涉及的领域多，不仅探讨自然科学，而且探讨人文科学，不仅叙述了西方文明，而且叙述了作为西方文明源头的东方文明，以及不同领域、不同文明之间相互的作用。希腊思...
