veys the broad scene of his life and finds

Rogerson s wife Marge has gone hack
to school and acquired a threateningly
independent mien; now she wants to
spend the summer on a lake in Wiscon-
sin, and Rogerson doesn t want to go. His
urologist, Heep, tells him he ought to be
circumcised, so Rogerson decides to
spend the summer at home, to nurse his
altered manhood.
