就像书里评论的，二战之后的和一战之后的世界发展趋势之所以有如此大的不同，领导人的因素绝对不可忽略，作为二战胜利的关键先生罗斯福的富有远见的智慧不仅是让二战出现转机，更重要的在二战的胜利之际提前对二战之后的世界和平的构思，这也几乎奠定近现代科技文明近似井喷发展的基石，而埃利诺作为罗斯福名义以及精神上的伴侣，一路上马刺般的存在才会让罗斯福不断突破了当时对总统的所有的定义与界限，在罗斯福近似花花公子的外表下蕴藏着仿佛可以征服生命无穷的力量以及对这世界无限的善意

从去年11月开始听，到今天听完。开头觉得语感就很好，由于书实在太长，中间听着有点儿疲劳，结尾的时候又被吸引。这本书其实更多的是关于Eleanor，读完不一定会喜欢她，但是又不得不钦佩她。她和FDR的关系也非常耐人寻味。性格决定命运，在人生各个方面，果不其然。
