planetary radio听作者访谈，简直谈笑风生。此书划分到硬核科幻，诚不我欺。全部实现都基于既有的物理和生化以及认知科学，超出部分是一种内部基于马拉约纳费米子的astrophage设定，要比一些杂耍的超距作用或者高维空间之类的奇葩科幻高出许多，科学家之间的惺惺相惜也比黑暗森林和猿人政治斗争可爱的多

an amazing story about a sience teacher and an alien engineer making friendship and cooperating to save their homeworlds from a dimming stars crisis in another solar system. nonetheless, I highly doubt that the project will be successful at the very start on the earth in light of the division and chaos when humankind dealt with the covid pandemic.

我从没想过自己也会爱上audiobook！这是一本让人戴着耳机露出姨母笑的书，因此遭受了同事们的怪异眼神。first contact没有伤害没有战争没有欺骗，只有两个科学家对科研的探索和合作。occasionally读读这种设定真的是洗涤心灵。最后，想说xenon tetrafluoride好久以前就被母校科学家合成了，每次听到“惰性气体不参加反应”就想大喊：会的！

之前听过不少人推荐这本同作者的新书加上最近重新看了Martian 几天就看完了故事大体算简单人物不多重点在science和alien 文笔很电影化估计改成剧本不难吧电影已经计划起来了作者还是很擅长用简单的手笔讲复杂的science 看书的时候经常想起高中时候biology chemistry physics课可惜文科生对science的理解就到那个阶段了没啥drama的sci fi书很refreshing
