Sally Rooney was born in 1991 and lives in Dublin. Her work has appeared in the New Yorker, Granta, The White Review, The Dublin Review, The Stinging Fly, Kevin Barry's Stonecutter and The Winter Page anthology. Her debut novel, Conversations with Friends, was the most popular debut in the 2017 end-of-year round-ups. Rooney was shortlisted for the Sunday Times EFG Short Story Award for 'Mr Salary' and was the winner of the Sunday Times/PFD Young Writer of the Year Award.

描寫的很細緻入微，但是共鳴感不是很強。我理解他們之間的羈絆，但是對於Cornell的性格包括後期抑鬱有點牽強，感覺是為瞭襯托Marianne的屈從性。I like the whole story of Marianne after she graduated from school and I like the ending too!

评分可能是我記錯瞭書評內容，總覺得雖然超級狗血，但一定會讀到Connell和Marianne結婚，然後更成熟的他們幸福地生活在一起的內容。。結果結尾匆匆就沒瞭，好氣。。多半是作者自己太年輕，還寫不齣那個時候的故事？
评分雖然錶麵上看起來隻是“高中大學生談戀愛的故事”，但Sally Rooney的語言風格非常流暢，full of wit的同時又很細膩。看完聊天記錄和這一本，正式成為Sally的迷妹，隻是不知道何時纔有下一本書。新時代“愛爾蘭三部麯”？
评分實在太喜歡Sally Rooney聊天記錄瞭，沒有中譯本的情況下翻完瞭這本，總之一直沒有get到點吧。男女一號和處女作裏的個性、談吐依然是很相似的，尤其是話總說一半、對於感情的不自信。結尾和前部比就更遜色瞭。
