Abetted in her newfound obsession by Norman, a young man from the royal kitchens, the Queen comes to question the prescribed order of the world and loses patience with the routines of her role as monarch. 著者簡介
艾倫•貝內特
1934年生，英國當代最重要的劇作傢，兼具小說傢、演員多重身份，曾兩度拒絕英國女王授勛，六十年代以電視係列片《藝穗節之外》成名，主要劇作包括《往事四十年》、《喬治三世的瘋狂》等。2006年劇作《曆史男孩》獲得托尼奬最佳劇本奬。而他的兩本自傳作品和小說《非普通讀者》也是廣受好評的文學暢銷書。

评分很好讀的書，雖然是虛構的故事卻也讓我讀的津津有味。120頁很快就看完瞭，仍然覺得不過癮。可能是自己愛讀書，找到瞭共鳴。
