We are<br >the people who have tried single dances--piano bars， and<br >not just to hear the music-ijoin church groups， not for our<br >spiritual development but for whoever might be there--<br >travel to Club Med， not for the sports--join introduction<br >services--placel:~ers~nal， ads in the newspaper. For those<br >of us who are" io~)"iclng~ for love in all the wrong places"， as<br >the song goes--for those of us who know it is wrong<br >because it is not working. This is brainstorming for those<br >of us who feel inadequate， and yes， even guilty， when we<br >hear the question， " ~ ， " .<br > Are you seeing anyone?" and we have<br >to say "No."<br > Some of us are survivors of the sexual revolution， a<br >time when bed hopping was safe， at least from a health<br >standpoint. A flyer taken at that time was not likely to end<br >in a death experience. But， promiscuity never made us<br >happy. It never satisfied our loneliness， the emptiness.<br >We felt worse after these casual sexual encotlnters. And we<br >are still looking， or in the market， looking again.<br > The times are different now， and so are we.<br >
