He has published twelve textbooks in mathematics， from basic mathematics to trigonometry. He is very active in the mathematics community and is a popular speaker at regional conferences throughout the year， including the California Mathematics Council for Community Colleges， the American Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges， the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics， the Texas Mathematics Association of Two-Year Colleges， the Michigan Mathematics Association of Two-Year Colleges， and the National Association for Developmental Education， among others. He is a member of the American Mathematics Association for Two-Year Colleges， the Mathematics Association of America， the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics， and the California mathematics Council for Community Colleges.
