An astonishingly wide range<br >of groups are involved in issues related to race and intergroup relations，<br >to varying degrees and for varying purposes. National nongovernmental<br >organizations; small businesses; corporations; community-based groups;<br >colleges and universities; and human relations commissions， among oth-<br >ers， are just a few of the types of organizations that understand the impor-<br >tance of improving the ways we work， play， and live with one another.<br >Their methods and approaches vary widely， as do their targeted popula-<br >tions， specific goals， and political orientations.
