The prose is understandable， the usable tables convey pertinent data， and the illustrations， which can be a major element in such a book， make their points clearly. Summaries at the end of many chapters reinforce the information and suggested actions， and humor occasionally brightens things， as in the funny-serious counsel， "When a person with diabetes complains that his shoes are killing him， he may very well be correct."
