The first-person account of a 26-year-old who fought in the war in Sierra Leone as a 12-year-old boy. 'My new friends have begun to suspect that I haven't told them the full story of my life. 伊斯梅爾·比亞，1980年齣生於塞拉利昂。1998年赴美國完成在聯閤國國際學校的高中課程。2004年獲得歐柏林大學政治科學學士學位。現在的他是聯閤國的人權觀察員，並多次在聯閤國大會上發言。現居紐約。
