The first-person account of a 26-year-old who fought in the war in Sierra Leone as a 12-year-old boy. 'My new friends have begun to suspect that I haven't told them the full story of my life. 伊斯梅尔·比亚，1980年出生于塞拉利昂。1998年赴美国完成在联合国国际学校的高中课程。2004年获得欧柏林大学政治科学学士学位。现在的他是联合国的人权观察员，并多次在联合国大会上发言。现居纽约。
