评分作为八卦很有趣：除了香农的合作者外，Weaver还是机器翻译的先驱者，书中提到他和赵元任在20年代即以搜集中文译本为契机相识，做retranslation实验时还请了Margaret Mead翻译pidgin；1923年在柏林出版的俄文本译者署名V. Sirina后被证实是纳博科夫的pseudonym，24岁的纳博科夫靠这个翻译赚了5美金。
