著者简介

TED CHIANG was born in Port Jefferson, New York, and holds a degree in computer science. His fiction has won numerous awards. His first collection, Stories of Your Life and Others, has been translated into ten languages. He lives near Seattle, Washington.

姜峯楠的这本科幻小说文集有点《黑镜》的感觉。我最喜欢的是讲穿越的Alchemist's Gate，养成电子宠物的The Lifecycle of Software Objects，记录回忆的The Truth of Fact/the Truth of Feeling，还有鹦鹉写的The Great Silence。最后一篇我原来去年在亚洲文化协会的《寻林觅趣》展览读过，波多黎各艺术家拍摄雨林中的鹦鹉，以及Arecibo天文台，探讨动物灭绝和科技的关系，字幕正是姜的这篇The Great Silence。“It's no coincidence that 'aspiration' means both hope and breathing...I speak, therefore I am."

非常喜欢第一个故事。但其他的实在看不下去。我还是更喜欢宏大叙事类的科幻题材

Exhalation 本来就是我最喜欢姜老师的一篇，后面两篇翁法洛斯和焦虑是自由的眩晕是新篇，太期待了才买了原版来看，物超所值。姜老师的语言一如既往地理性，逻辑性也极强，因为那种详实的感受让故事背景可信。每一篇当中对社会人性的讨论都有有许多有趣的点，有的点感觉单独拿出来就能写一个短篇

太好看了。中文版题目翻译的不好，不是呼吸，应该是大喘气，只呼了没吸。
