著者簡介

Anna Burns was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland. She is the author of two novels, No Bones and Little Constructions, and of the novella, Mostly Hero. No Bones won the Winifred Holtby Memorial Prize and was short-listed for the Orange Prize for Fiction. She lives in East Sussex, England.

讀瞭一部分，暫棄。Burns的語言太纏繞，加上小說中的人物、身份、地點甚至曆史背景都沒有明確的指稱。結構鬆散，情節緩滯，常常夾雜著Middle sister意識流式的迴憶以及對曆史、政治、兩性、宗教......的思考。事實上，隻要讀上兩頁你就可以很明確地感知到作者非常獨特的敘事音色和措辭技巧。這是一本需要時間和耐心消化的書，等迴看後二次評分。

故意囉嗦的語言，也是一種風格。。。劇情走嚮真的很迷

一個男女有彆的國度，一個不鼓勵個體的社會，一條籠罩著陰雲暴力的街道，我就在這個冷漠分裂的環境裏長大成人。書中雖然沒有說故事發生在哪兒，但一切都暗喻著北愛爾蘭的貝爾法斯特，以及所有壓抑個體的社會。前幾天看1990 hits的MV，纔知道原來小紅莓唱的“zombie, zombie, zombie”（麻木不仁）就是在抗議愛爾蘭共和軍所製造的暴力和一個裝聾作啞的社會。書中最值得看的，就是把壓抑卻模糊的感覺（大多數是恐懼），用理性的思考清晰地說齣來。

看到1/3看不下去瞭，完全不知道在講什麼，棄。這個"maybe-boyfriend"的叫法看著真是難受

客观说说，这本书大概不适合每个人，要么喜欢要么讨厌。首先，叙述口吻不是那么令人愉悦，冷漠甚至刻薄，书中没有一个人物有名字，都是代号，milkman, maybe-boyfriend, third brother-in-law, tablet girls, Somebody McSomebody, 每个人物形象都立体鲜明，也不需要什么名字...
