Feminist reimagining of a peripheral god. Witchcraft as women's work, powered by will. Circe as slighted lover, rapist-transfiguring witch, self-sacrificing mother, only empathetic god (other than Prometheus) who doesn't feed on suffering. Jumping off Homer's Circe w/ "voice like a mortal. "Humbling women seems to me a chief pastime of poets."

Constellation can brush the earth once a year, while the chance for one soul to dip near another is much smaller. Seems that nostalgia is a universal truth.

我喜歡這本書，但讀得太痛苦。Circe真是女性的好榜樣，結局強行happy ending. 過程這麼女權，最後就給我們這樣的結局？Jason那段感覺時間綫不太對。Theseus都從Crete迴去瞭，Medea纔跟Jason剛偷完金羊毛？這個時候不應該Medea已經決裂瞭Jason跑到雅典跟Theseus老爹一起生瞭孩子再被Theseus打敗，跑迴傢弑父嗎？
