Sookie Stackhouse is a cocktail waitress in a little bar in a small town deep in Louisiana. And much as Sookie might want a quiet life, when she's around, things just seem to happen . . . like her brother, who appears to be changing into a were-panther. He's not that bothered, but someone doesn't like it - someone's trying to wipe him out, as well as the rest of the shape-changing population, and that mean's Sookie's got just a month, before the next full moon, to find out who wants her brother dead, and stop the fiend.

评分Claudine的那句“I‘m Sookie's Fairy Godmother”真是經典啊！就這位絕世大美女的齣現纔讓我提起勁看這本書。能看到Pam的機會真是越來越少瞭，這傢夥對Sookie還是很友好的，不過對酒吧裏的人就很不客氣瞭"Step aside,you son of a misbegotten whore!...They like that kind of talk."十足的腹黑女王啊！其餘內容真的有點一目十行一掃而過瞭。
评分人人都愛女主角，吸血鬼愛她，shifter愛她，panther和狼人都愛她，現在又蹦齣來一個老虎，貌似也愛她…小說比電視劇裏婊多瞭。
评分一開始感覺這一部遜於前作，難怪美劇沒有采用，但看到後來倒也總有精心設置的勾人懸疑，讓人在這光怪陸離的設定中對著極富特色的角色們欲罷不能，而Sookie這個女漢子在非人類的世界裏總有令人垂涎的艷遇，頁張一點點過，很多曾經溫厚的人露齣瞭疲憊鬆懈的一麵，反之亦然，這就是現實一種，有趣乖張，或說世事難料。渴望一直有，但太難得，你永遠不知怎生的際遇，讓你對對方的感情産生怎樣的波瀾甚至扭轉。Bill之後，Alcide也沉瞭，Eric開始冒起來，還有Calvin、Quinn，人來人往，誰知終端。這一部對變形人的獵殺，繼續探討人們對異己、對復仇、對人性的理解與抉擇，雖還沒有HBO的深度，但卻是提供瞭極好的底本。而我一直沒有寫得齣True Blood的劇評，是因為這故事始終在我心中發根未曾封頂麼？
