Sookie Stackhouse is a cocktail waitress in a little bar in a small town deep in Louisiana. He's not that bothered, but someone doesn't like it - someone's trying to wipe him out, as well as the rest of the shape-changing population, and that mean's Sookie's got just a month, before the next full moon, to find out who wants her brother dead, and stop the fiend.

评分Claudine的那句“I‘m Sookie's Fairy Godmother”真是经典啊！就这位绝世大美女的出现才让我提起劲看这本书。能看到Pam的机会真是越来越少了，这家伙对Sookie还是很友好的，不过对酒吧里的人就很不客气了"Step aside,you son of a misbegotten whore!...They like that kind of talk."十足的腹黑女王啊！其余内容真的有点一目十行一扫而过了。
评分一开始感觉这一部逊于前作，难怪美剧没有采用，但看到后来倒也总有精心设置的勾人悬疑，让人在这光怪陆离的设定中对着极富特色的角色们欲罢不能，而Sookie这个女汉子在非人类的世界里总有令人垂涎的艳遇，页张一点点过，很多曾经温厚的人露出了疲惫松懈的一面，反之亦然，这就是现实一种，有趣乖张，或说世事难料。渴望一直有，但太难得，你永远不知怎生的际遇，让你对对方的感情产生怎样的波澜甚至扭转。Bill之后，Alcide也沉了，Eric开始冒起来，还有Calvin、Quinn，人来人往，谁知终端。这一部对变形人的猎杀，继续探讨人们对异己、对复仇、对人性的理解与抉择，虽还没有HBO的深度，但却是提供了极好的底本。而我一直没有写得出True Blood的剧评，是因为这故事始终在我心中发根未曾封顶么？
